Changing Computer Name

  1. Change the Computer Name of the device that needs to be edited.
  2. Add that device to the Policies Changing the Computer Name to run the remote renaming policy, as it runs a Recurring Check-in, the device needs to be online and it may take 5-10 minutes or longer to execute the command.
  3. Check the result and remove the device from the Policy after completion (or leave the device in the Policy to prevent users from changing the Computer Name according to their preferences). One can remotely check the Logs (Completed) or inspect directly on the device.
